The CEO of Pax Bonum Foundation For the Needy, Very Rev. Fr. Paul Arinze Obi (JP), has reiterated his commitment to caring for the less privileged in our society by giving food items and clothes at Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Responding to newsmen at the event, Very Rev. Fr. Paul Arinze Obi said the organization was initiated based on his “strong passion” for helping the less privileged and vulnerable in our society. Fr. Obi maintained that the Organization is committed to promoting sustainable development goals in the areas of No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Decent Work, and Economic Growth, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
“Over two years, the organization has consistently empowered people by offering a scholarship in furtherance of education, trained people on skills acquisition, and development of strategies for self-employment”, Fr. Obi said.
In a vote of thanks, the CEO of Pax Bonum Foundation, Very Rev. Fr. Paul Arinze Obi (JP), expressed his gratitude to God almighty for using Pax Bonum Foundation as a vehicle to reaching out to society and commended Local and International donors who are supporting the activities of the organization, praying God sustainable blessings for them.
A statement by the Assistant Secretary to the Organization, Mr. Emese Andrew established that the Christmas give-away is a milestone project driven by the organization in helping people regardless of their religion, ethnicity, or background to support their livelihoods.
Noting that the economic challenge aroused by the COVID-19 pandemic has multiplied the increasing rate of poverty and hunger in our society.
Mr. Emese urged Deltans to be devoted and remain faithful to God while this lasts for a while.
In an interview with one of the beneficiaries, Mama Ogbe Margaret, she expressed gratitude to Pax Bonum Foundation, emphasizing the need for the organization to remain committed to its core goals in reaching out to the needy. “My pikin, I dey happy oo; na them go make me chop Christmas food tomorrow, we dey thank them, make God bless them in Jesus name”, Mama said.
