Ahighly respected and Indefatigable religious leader; Mama (Dr.) Helen Oritsejafor, to unveil the 2021 Annual Africa Save the Girl Child Advocacy Retreat in Delta State Nigeria.
The assertion was contained in a statement made available by the Directorate of Save the Girl Child Advocacy Fidelis Onakpoma to newsmen in Abuja.

Onakpoma affirmed that the choice for Mama Helen Oritsejafor to open this year’s girls’ conference is a complimentary impart to her existing services to human capacity building.

Mama (Dr.) Helen Oritsejafor is an inspiration to many, a motivational speaker, a teacher, preacher, maker, and developer of human capacity building with virtues such as integrity, selfless service, generosity, wisdom, courage, resourcefulness, temperance, and devotion to God.

Recall that Save the Girl Child Advocacy in collaboration with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Social Works to the Delta State Governor to implement the 2021 Annual Africa Girl Child Retreat in Delta State.

In an interview, Fidelis Onakpoma revealed that the event is being co-hosted by the International Human Rights Commission, Ethiope East Local Government Council, and Delta State University Abraka.

“The objective behind the annual Save the Girl Child Retreat is to provide support and opportunities to girls. It also aims towards promoting awareness about the rights of the girl child and to increase awareness on the importance of girls education, and their health and improved behavior”, Fidelis said.

The Advocacy acknowledges the importance, power and potential of adolescent girls by encouraging the opening up of more opportunities for them, and at the same time, to eliminate gender-based challenges that little girls face including child marriages, poor learning opportunities, violence, and discrimination.

Girlhood has changed. Young girls suffer a lot of social vices and psychological disorders before reaching adulthood. That to some extent, instead of thinking at the age of 10 or 11, “what Shall I do today” they started thinking, “how shall I look today”.

As a spiritual leader, mentor, and teacher, Mama Helen will bless and dedicate girls’ children to God, and help establish a practical approach to surviving the explicit demands on the top for girls’ children.

Mama Helen is the co-pastor of the Word of Life Bible and Wife to Papa Ayo Oritsejafor.

Slated for the Inaugural Conference is 19th August 2021 at Delta State University Faculty of Education, Site 3 Abraka.
